Speaker: Heloise. Heloise was born in Waco, Texas on April 15, 1951. She attended Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) in San Marcos, Texas. She received a BS in Education in 1974 along with a double major in Business Administration and Mathematics, with a teacher's certificate.

She has a syndicated newspaper column "Hints From Heloise" that runs seven days a week in more than 500 newspapers in the United States and internationally. She is also a contributing editor of the Good Housekeeping magazine and a monthly columnist for "Good Advice: Heloise to the Rescue." She is a frequent guest on local radio shows and interviews experts. She has appeared on national television including The Late Show with David Letterman, The Today Show, The View, Jane Pauley Show, CNN and local stations. She has a lecture circuit where she gives numerous speeches to business and civic organizations in the US. Heloise is very involved with charitable work and makes frequent appearances for Battered Women's Shelters, the USO, the American Heart Association, military family support-services and animal related causes. She has published numerous books and is the recipient of multiple awards including: Communicator Achievement 2009 and the National Federation of Press Women.
